The Utah Mammoth have one more day until they return home to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Utah went 3-2 on a five-game road trip and looked good and bad in some areas.

Here are several key statistics for the Mammoth thus far:

Utah has had the best power play unit:

Utah has scored 10 power play goals on only 25 tries, making it the best power play team in the league, with the Mammoth scoring 40% of the time.

Almost half of Utah's total goals have come on the power play. Center Nick Schmaltz leads the NHL thus far with four power-play goals. Ultimately, the power play has been a huge strength of the Mammoth.

Sebastian Aho, Evan Bouchard, Kirill Kaprizov, Kyle Connor, and Schmaltz all have six goals so far. Schmaltz has scored six goals in only six games, making his start to the season even more impressive.

The Mammoth's decision to put Schmaltz on the top line instead of center Logan Cooley has worked out quite well. Utah would love to see more offense from other guys, but Schmaltz has certainly been a nice revelation.

Others will definitely to show more offense as time moves on in 2026-27.

Some players have lacked a little in the offensive zone

So far, Logan Cooley has hardly taken any shots on goal and has totalled five assists with zero goals.

Cooley has been good at setting up plays, but after scoring 24 goals in 54 games last season, Utah would like to see more goal-scoring from him. Vincent Trocheck has so far scored just one goal and one assist.

Obviously, for a player with Trocheck's potential, the Mammoth would like to see a lot in overall offense.

Lastly, Lawson Crouse has only scored one goal and added one assist after scoring 20 goals and adding 24 assists in 2025-26.

Ultimately, Crouse, Trocheck, and Cooley have been a little lacking offensively. Other than those guys, though, the Mammoth's offense has been elite.

Next, on Tuesday night, the Mammoth hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m. CT.
