The Utah Mammoth are now 2-1-0 after an unfortunate loss on Sunday night to the New York Rangers. However, they will have a solid chance to get back into the win column tonight at the New Jersey Devils.
This game stands as the third game of five straight on the road after opening the season at home with a 6-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Who: Utah Mammoth (2-1-0) vs. New Jersey Devils (1-1-0)
Where: ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney Plus.
When: Oct. 6, 5:00 p.m. MT
Injuries
The Devils:
The Devils will be without only one player: Connor Brown. Brown has a lower body injury and was a big piece of the Devil offense last season, scoring 18 goals and adding 25 assists in 75 games. Other than Brown however, New Jersey remains a pretty healthy team.
The Mammoth:
Utah is without just one player, and that remains to be Maveric Lamoureux. It's now been about a week since it was announced the defenseman had to have shoulder surgery and will be sidelined for 4-6 months. Other than that though, Utah too has been healthy.
What does Utah have to do to win?
The Mammoth have to create more offense tonight than they did on Sunday. Every game thus far, Utah has outshot it's opponent.
The Mammoth will have to convert those offensive chances and score goals on the veteran goalie Jake Allen. My simple prediction is Utah wins, 6-3.
The Devils have done well at getting shots on goal, but they haven't converted the great majority of their chances. Expect Utah to continue to show some offensive dominance and be able to overwhelm the Devils.
