Giving my opinion on the new "Hometown Remix" jerseys

Every NHL team has essentially followed the MLB with a "Hometown Remix Jersey", a jersey reflecting the city. Just like the MLB's City Connect Jerseys.

Just like the MLB, a lot of these jerseys are being met with a not-so-great response, and rightfully so for some.

Here's some reactions from the players:

Some are pretty good, others are average, and some are just downright ugly. No offense to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, and a few others, but that's not the right color. Just changing the original color completely feels weird and too much.

I also have no idea why the Chicago Blackhawks would even consider green, because that just doesn't fit.

The Edmonton Oilers did a good job by not completely rewriting the script on the original colors, which is a good thing.

The New Jersey Devils, among others, have pretty clean, not-too-drastic uniforms, so overall they're not bad. Some were pretty interesting, including the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers, whose colors don't look bad at all.

The most unique jersey may belong to the Vegas Golden Knights, whose design didn't do badly. Since it is Vegas, uniqueness is expected. The Anaheim Ducks were unique with their color design, but it isn't as good as others. I'll give them some leeway since this team is unique anyway, but there are better jerseys.

Then there is Utah's newest jersey. Which isn't bad at all:

The color combination is simply satisfying. The logo isn't bad at all either. The logo isn't too creative, but the colors seem to fit perfectly with the current colors. It's new, but it doesn't reinvent the team's colors, which is a plus.

The Mammoth having a green jersey with yellow would just look ugly, so it's nice to see the colors are still remarkably similiar to the original.

The Mammoth will debut these jerseys against the Montreal Canadiens on the road, Nov. 5th.

Another great jersey, along with Utah's, is the Seattle Kraken's, with a nice color combination and an anchor that fits Seattle really well. In my opinion, the best jerseys I have seen thus far are these two: the Mammoth and Kraken jerseys.

This is a pretty darn good release for the Mammoth. No bad notes here. It's cool to see some fun moments in the NHL, and this release is fun... At least for some teams.
