With less than two months to go before the beginning of the NHL season, there is one defenseman, among other UFA's, that is still on the market.

Logan Stanley, a big and physcial defenseman who has played for mutiple teams, remains on the market. That is notable because Stanley could be a X-factor for another defense. Likely not the Utah Mammoth defense, but Stanley could be a huge addition for another team.

Logan Stanley remains on the market?

Stanley, 28, remains of the market. This is quite strange considering he is both young and a big presence on the defense. Stanley is 6'7'' and 231 lbs, giving teams a reason to want to acquire him. His physical presence can't be understated. Stanley also scored 9 goals and added 17 assists, showing he isn't incapable of being a help offensively.

Many teams would probably like to have someone like Stanley to provide a ton of depth and talent. Utah right now isn't in need of a defenseman, but their depth last season at the position was a big reason for their success. This means that potentially targeting Stanley to add another elite defenseman and depth wouldn't be a horrible idea.

With the salary cap situation, Utah would have to really think about Stanley before signing him. At the least though, many other different teams could acquire the defenseman and look better. This includes teams in the Cenrtal Division or in the Western Conference, which wouldn't exactly be great for Utah.

Utah doesn't lack defenseman themselves, but if they wished to acquire someone like Stanley, that would make sense.
