The city of Utah is in a great place right now. Everyone wants satisfaction, and this city is getting more of that daily. On Monday, the excitement of a new season just added another accomplishment. The Utah Hockey Club held the groundbreaking day for the new practice facility, which means that Smith Entertainment Group, who bought the facility, will expand a classic Macy's store. The new facility will have the following:
- Two ice rinks
- Locker rooms
- Team offices
- And other training areas for the team
Hockey season is right around the corner, and Utah Hockey is building lots of excitement, but the season has yet to start. According to SEG, the rinks will be open to young kids and hockey clubs at the amateur level.
It's a good gesture for the community and city to come together to enjoy the new facility. It's only the beginning of the fantastic things we will see in this facility. The team and community leaders have a chance to build something that will carry on for a lifetime.
It's a memory that Utah residents and fans will never forget because they will feel part of the journey
More people will come to the area if they include malls, arts, and museum galleries. The goal is to have everything ready by the 2025-26 season. The development process is off to a good start, and we hope that in a year from now or so, we will have something to talk about for years to come.
In the meantime, the team is still searching for a proper franchise name. The name needs to be unique and creative. It's never easy to find the right name for a team. Hopefully, Utah can qualify for the playoffs in the next five years. The team drafted well and must continue slowly developing their young prospects.
