Of course, you’re ready to watch the Utah Hockey Club play in the 2024-25 season, and that’s why you’re reading this article. As a new NHL team, Utah is likely to have fans everywhere looking to tune in, so how can you watch the games if you’re local?

If you’re in Salt Lake City and you have access to KUPX or Channel 16, it will be your go-to starting this fall. You can also stream preseason action at NHL.com/Utah when applicable, allowing you to catch preseason action in two convenient places before the puck drops in October.

But what if you’re a Utah fan living on the West Coast or the East Coast? Hey, once upon a time your best bet was to basically find local hot spots in the area that happened to be hosting games, but that is no longer the case.

Instead, a streaming service like fuboTV (for those in and around Utah) or ESPN+ (for fans outside of local markets) are strong outlets, and you can give it a go with a free trial if you’ve never used it.

fuboTV has live NHL games on ESPN which you can stream from your phone, television, and all your favorite devices. This is a service that broadcasts live TV over the internet, no cable is required. Watch your favorite teams, network shows, news, and movies on 100+ channels. Plus on-demand entertainment including full TV series. fuboTV is currently available in the United States, Canada, and Spain.

Utah Hockey Club will also have some national broadcasts

Every year, NHL teams also enjoy their fair share of national broadcasts, and Utah will be no different during its inaugural season. That said, you can also catch those national broadcasts on outlets like ESPN and the NHL Network when Utah is on the schedule.

As you can see, there are quite a few ways to tune in and watch your new favorite team navigate throughout its first season. If they prove to be an early success, don’t be surprised if (or, in Salt Lake City’s case, when) hot spots in your local area emerge to play Utah hockey games.

Even if you don’t have access to the outlets listed above or would rather not stream Utah’s games, there may very well be some alternative options springing up sooner rather than later. That said, it’s the most exciting time in recent history to be a fan of a Utah-based hockey team, especially one that will begin play in the NHL.
