The Utah Mammoth weren't really tested much by the Chicago Blackhawks in a 6-0 win to start their season.
However, Utah didn't seem to slow down much at all as they overwhelmed the Columbus Blue Jackets and took a 4-1 win.
Utah is 2-0-0 as they take down Columbus
The Mammoth once again looked great and were physical, keeping the puck mostly out of the Blue Jackets' hands. 12 Minutes into the first period, defenseman Mikhail Sergachev make it 1-0 Utah with a power play goal.
Utah didn't stop there, though. The Mammoth added another goal, as Nick Schmaltz, assisted by Clayton Keller (already his fourth assist) and John Marino scored his second goal of the season thus far.
Columbus got a much-needed goal from Kent Johnson, assisted by newly acquired Matthew Knies, to make it 2-1. But Sebastian Cossa didn't look back. The game went into the second intermission with Utah still up 2-1.
In the third period, on another power play, Dylan Guenther, who scored a couple of goals against Chicago, added one to the lead to make it 3-1.

The Mammoth continued to play terrific defense, and Cossa kept doing well before Utah got another power-play opportunity. A beautiful offensive push by Utah turned into another goal.
Both Guenther and Logan Cooley assisted the Schmaltz as Utah all but ended the match. Utah won 4-1. Cossa saved 17 out of 18 shots on goal as Utah converted three out of four power-play opportunities.
Utah continues its road trip tonight against the New York Rangers, looking to continue dominating the ice. Through two games, the points leader for Utah has been Guenther with 3 goals and two assists.
