Not often do fans see such displays of excellence from their NHL team. The Utah Mammoth absolutely crushed the Chicago Blackhawks 6-0, dominating them in almost every facet of the game.
Utah hasn't had such a large win since their 7-0 shutout win over the Anaheim Ducks on Dec. 3, 2025.
This shutout however was special...
Utah gets it's first ever shutout in Delta Center
For two years, the Mammoth struggled to keep their opponents off the board. So much so that the Mammoth didn't even have a shutout at home coming into this game.
However, this time, the Mammoth finally shut down their opponent completely. The Blackhawks managed just 15 shots on goal, a very small number thanks to their lack of offensive success.
Chicago also managed to get only 12 hits to Utah's 42. Such a difference in stats shows just how badly this Blackhawk team was dominated.

Utah has clearly wanted to establish itself as a dominant and physical team. Chicago, without Connor Bedard looked completely overwhelmed by the physicality of the Mammoth.
If Utah can continue to impress in the physical part of the game, then it will only continue to keep their opponents off the board.
Plus, obviously that does lead to more offensive chances as well. The Mammoth shut out the Hawks but still scored a remarkable amount of six goals while doing so.
Tonight, Utah faces the Columbus Blue Jackets - a team that is probably going to put up much more of a fight.
Let's see if Utah continues its dominance or shrinks a bit in the face of tougher competition. Let's hope it's the former.
