The NHL has announced that all 32 teams will release a "Hometown Remix" jersey. No jerseys have been released yet, but this is an interesting and cool development for all fans, including Mammoth fans.
New Hometown Remix jerseys are coming to the NHL
A couple of years ago, the MLB started "City Connect" jerseys. Teams designed jerseys connected to their cities. For example, the Arizona Diamondbacks released jerseys that resembled the desert, and the New York Mets created jerseys that represented New York with "NYC" on the back of its hat.
Well, the NHL has followed suit. The new "hometown remix" jerseys will eventually do the same thing as the MLB City Connect. The NHL and Fanatics will release these jerseys for every team in 2026-27 season with the purpose to "uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, city, and local culture of each team."
Many different teams will release awesome jerseys that celebrate local culture and the city. The Mammoth have no excuse for not releasing an amazing jersey. Utah has mountains, snow, mammoths, and more to work with. So I fully expect a great-looking alternate jersey. This is a pretty cool move by the NHL as it continues to grow.
