Utah Hockey Club will face off against the Seattle Kraken on Friday night.

It’s the second meeting between the two teams. The Kraken won the first meeting 5-2 on December 30 in Seattle.

Utah is still hunting for that final playoff spot in the wild card. The Kraken could be the party crashes because they are out of the playoff picture.

Kraken has traded away players for future first—and second-round draft picks. Kraken has nothing to lose. Therefore, Utah must take them seriously and set the tone early.

Dylan Guenther leads all Utah skaters in goals (24), power-play goals (11), and game-winning goals (8) this season.

Guenther has been consistent and sensational for the team all season long. He has hit eight game-winners. He’s Mr. Clutch! Guenther has led the league with five winners since the start of February.

Mikhail Sergachev is another outstanding key player for Utah

Sergachev has been an enormous addition to the team. JT’s the little things he does that help this team become sondetermine and put them in a position to succeed. Recently, he earned his 300th career point.

Sergachev had a solid performance against the Ducks. He recorded a power play assist, delivered two hits, and blocked three shots.

Jaden Schwartz is a player to keep an eye on for the Kraken. He leads the team with 19 goals. Chandler Stephenson and Jared McMann are also good players on the team.

Steohenson leads the team with 32 assists. He picked up two assists in the previous game against the Montreal Canadiens, which they won 5-4 in overtime.

McCann leads the team with 45 points. Seattle has a quiet “Big Three.” Their goaltender is a stud, Joey Daccord. He ranks ninth in the NHL with a .911 save percentage. The Kraken’s power play ranks 26th in the NHL.

At this point, every game matters for Utah

It’s not easy to beat good teams on the road, so they will need to fly to Vancouver after their game against Kraken.

Utah must take one game at a time. Don’t lose poise. Stay hungry and continue to be resilient. Their loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs could be the club's turning point of the season.

It was incredible to see them come back to tie the game after trailing 3-0 and when the fight broke out. Although they lost in the shootout, Utah proved something in that game.

If this team makes the playoffs, we must remember that game against the Maple Leafs.
