The Utah Mammoth were able to find a home for goaltender Connor Ingram, after being traded to the Edmonton Oilers for future considerations. Ingram was placed on waivers last week. This has been a matter that needed to be solved quickly for the player and the team.

After a great 2023-24 season in Arizona, Ingram looked primed to be the new franchise goalie when the franchise moved to Utah. The 28-year-old netminder was unable to mirror that performance in Salt Lake City, posting a 3.27 GAA and .882 save percentage.

Ingram entered the Player Assistance Program at the conclusion of the Mammoth's inaugural season and was recently released. General manager Bill Armstrong needed to decide on his goalie room and moved quickly to bring in Vitek Vanecek, essentially opening the door for Ingram to depart.

As NHL training camp began in Utah, Ingram was advised that he would not be part of the team's plans and did not participate in any team workouts. It is commendable that Utah was able to find a home for Ingram in Edmonton, where he will have the chance to provide depth for a Stanley Cup contender.
