The Utah Mammoth needed to bounce back in a big way against the Toronto Maple Leafs after being destroyed by the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
Utah did just that with a great performance on Tuesday night against the Maple Leafs. A performance that will leave fans wondering about Utah's starting goalie.
The Mammoth win 3-2 behind Sebastian Cossa's remarkable performance
The game started pretty slow, with both teams failing to convert on any changes and a remarkable performance from both goalies for the majority of the first period. With only 13 seconds left in the period, however, the Mammoth got a absolute snipe from Dylan Guenther to take the lead 1-0.
Cossa continued to do well in just his fifth start as a Mammoth. Unfortunately, Jack Roslovic scored a goal to knot things up at 1-1 with a nice goal. Utah later responded in the second period with a goal from defenseman Andrew Peeke to make it 2-1.
Barrett Hayton very nearly had the goal overturned as he tripped with his skate interlocking with Sergei Bobrovsky's skate and not really giving the Maple Leafs goalie a chance at the shot from Peeke, but the goal was upheld.

The third period was a bit up and down, with a terrible mistake by Logan Cooley allowing a great chance for Roslovic, who converted with a nice goal to tie the game at 2-2. Just a few minutes later, Bobrovsky made an amazing save to his right, only for the puck to bounce right into the stick of Nick Schmaltz, who gave the Mammoth the lead with his eight goal of the season and the Mammoth's second power play goal of the night.
With less than one minute left, the last good chance for Toronto wasn't converted, as a shot went right through the legs of Cossa and harmlessly hit the outside of the posts. Utah won 3-2.
This was a great performance from Cossa, a performance fans needed to see. Next, the Mammoth face the Montreal Canadians on Thursday night, wearing their new Hometown Remix jerseys.
